An original Howard & Son daybed/ long lounge One can be seen in famous country houses and royal palaces, photo below showing a photo taken in 1927 at ''Dumfries house" with the same lounge. We are having the down seat cushion and back filled. We can offer fabric or leather covering. This lounge made around 1880 has original polish to legs, bronze gilt casters and patent number stamped to back leg. When Price Charles came to Melbourne and visited the tapestry workshops a few of us received an email to see him, others gathered flowers. I know his love for Dumfries house (he donated 20 million pounds of his money to save it). I took my Dumfries catalogue. I held it with cover showing. The surprise on his face was brilliant. He dashed over to me, said have you been there. I said yes and that I had planned to buy what I could but thanked him for saving it for all of us. I always say how these great things make you smarter, your children smarter and your friends smarter. They can also lead to great adventures.
