William Kent moved on to architecture and furniture design after as a young man visiting Italy to study art, he went on to build some of England’s most spectacular homes, Making the owners dreams come true creating the perfect settings for classic art collections his clients amassed, now like then the home is a place for fantasy, dreams and the belly laugh. A good building is the background for a great collection makes a home. All art starts with the classics and returns to it. Classic statues Kent loved are moving on with the task - we are just the audience they haven’t noticed, we have returned to this with moving away from photos of sitters looking into the camera. #houghtonhall #williamkent @jamb_london is a William Kent table.
